Teen Trying On Clothes Gets Trapped In Dressing Room That Was Once A Bank Vault

Giavanna Diesso, 14, went shopping with her mom and brother at a clothing store on Long Island. She was heading to the dressing room to try one some clothes when her 7-year-old brother closed a door on her, locking her in — but she couldn't open it back up.

Giavanna's mom ran to the employees for help, but they couldn't open the door, either. So she called 911.

There's a reason why no one could open the door: The clothing store is located inside an old bank building — and the dressing rooms were built behind a steel vault door that's usually propped open.

More than 60 first responders arrived at the store to free a panicked Giavanna. Her brother was scared, and a crowd had gathered.

Firefighters smashed through the wall while Giavanna FaceTimed with them, helping them navigate through 18 inches of brick and concrete. The crew told Inside Edition they needed to call a local tool rental store for even more power tools.
