This 5-Year-Old Autistic Prodigy May Have Telepathic Abilities

Geniuses, savants, and child prodigies all walk silently among us.

Some, like this 8-year-old boy who plays the blues with an old soul, are musically gifted and inclined, but others surprise us with their amazing mental capabilities.

Take 5-year-old Ramses Sanguino, for example. Born with a form of high-functioning autism, Ramses has been shunned by his teachers and was proclaimed one of the world's top savants by a neuroscientist.

He first showed signs of his telepathic abilities to the world when he correctly guessed a series of numbers his mother had written down in secret and hidden out of sight.

Now he is a part of an ongoing study investigating the telepathic talents of autistic kids. Sounds a little strange, doesn't it? After reading the doctor's explanations below, you'll be absolutely stunned

5-year-old Ramses Sanguino is no ordinary kid. Born with a form of high-functioning autism, he started reading when he was just 1 year old.

By the time he was 18 months old, he had memorized the multiplication table and knew all the atomic numbers on the periodic table.

His mother, Nyx — an artist — posted videos online showing footage of Ramses displaying what seems to be abilities of telepathic foresight.

In one of the videos, Ramses correctly counted out the numbers and suits of a hidden, incomplete deck of playing cards. He also correctly guessed numbers that were written down in secret.

After seeing these videos, Dr. Diane Powell — a neuroscientist, pictured here at left — contacted Nyx, requesting to study Ramses in a 'cutting-edge telepathy study.'

Dr. Powell strongly believes that telepathy may in fact be a primary mode of communication between autistic children and their parents. She thinks that at times, they 'desperately want to communicate with one another, but can’t.'

After seeing similar signs of telepathy in other people with autism, Dr. Powell wanted to study the link between autism and telepathy in controlled environments. Even though many doctors don’t believe in telepathy, she has been seeing strong evidence in Ramses’ behavior during their three meetings.

During the meetings, she would use a random-number generator to pick numbers for Nyx to write down and think about. Then, Ramses would have to try and read his mother’s mind to guess the correct numbers.

Even though Ramses displays remarkable potential and talent — he is already learning seven languages, including Arabic, Hindi, and Japanese — the little boy faces challenges.

Nyx had to take him out of school. 'The teacher liked him at first, and called him the ‘little professor.’ But soon, Ramses started correcting her on some of her spelling and math, and the teacher began isolating him from other students,' she said.

Nyx also worries that it will be hard for Ramses to make friends. 'He is different and people cannot understand the way he thinks,' she said, saying that he moves around the house, counting numbers and objects almost obsessively.

Dr. Powell believes that Ramses is one of the top five savants in the world. She’s hoping to get Ramses sponsored and placed into a special school for gifted autistic children.

His mother is hoping that he may one day change the world, and that he 'will invent a cure for cancer or something great like that.' But above all, she just wishes that he will have access to the best education in the world, and for him to be a happy child.
