Everything was perfectly in its place in the den. Except for one thing. The flat-screen television protruding out of the wall looked odd and didn't exactly go with decor. Most of us aren't going to part with our beloved (and expensive) televisions for the sake of aesthetic, but that doesn't mean we have to compromise form for functionality. Designers Monica and Jess came up with a brilliant way to camouflage the TV for just $25. If you are looking to get rid of your old TV set, here's how to transform it into a dog bed.
The dynamic duo decided to construct a television "picture frame." This way, whether the TV was on or off, it looked like a framed centerpiece rather than a giant black box in the middle of the room. The women used four pieces of crown moulding, cut to size, to create the frame for the TV. Then they attached the frame over the television set while it was still hanging. Finally they added a quick coat of golden yellow paint for the finishing touches. The end result is eye-catching rather than an eye sore. For more detailed instructions, watch the video below.
