Musicians Record Amazing Country Version Of ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Theme Song

When thinking of ‘90s television shows, one theme song always comes to mind: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The iconic lyrics are sure to get anyone singing in no time: “Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down/and I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there/I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air…”

If you were around for the ‘90s, I’m sure you know the song, like the husband and wife who performed a hilarious rendition in their car or the three bridesmaids who incorporated it into their wedding speech.

Come on, the show was monumental and one of the greatest things about the '90s. (I’ll admit I never pass up a chance to watch reruns.)

And truth be told, most boys grew up wishing to be as smooth as Will Smith’s character. He was easily one of the coolest characters on television and he always represented his Philly background.

Now, almost 10 years after the series finale, two musicians envisioned what it would be like if the iconic television character was from the South. In turn, they recorded a blues cover of the theme song and, trust me, it’s the best thing you’ll hear all day.

Just wait till the musician on the right whips out the tambourine at the 1:00 mark!
