Saying the three little words, "I love you," takes a whole lot of courage and a giant helping of faith. The first time you tell someone that you love them has to be one of the most nerve-racking experiences in a lifetime.
When the person you're expressing your feelings to reciprocates your words? Great! Everyone leaves happier, warmer, and fuzzier inside than before. That's just dandy.
But when the response isn't what you expected to hear? That's a whole different story. It could ruin a whole relationship, or really hurt someone's feelings. It could also make you break down into laughter.
If you never take a risk, though, you may never find out how the other person feels about you. Most of the time, if you trust yourself, it's a chance worth taking. If the person doesn't love you back? Then at least now you know!
