Savannah Pritchett was working her afternoon shift at the Triple R Gas and Mart in Waterford, California. It was just another normal day — until a woman entered the store.
As the surveillance cameras rolled, the woman calmly entered the store, approached the counter, and started begging Savannah for help. "When she grabbed me she was very, very shaky. She was like 'Please, please help me,'" Savannah told CBS. "I saw in her eyes and how bad she was shaking that, oh no, she was scared."
The woman said she was being held captive and had convinced her kidnappers to stop at the gas station so she could use the bathroom.
Her captors were waiting with guns in the car outside.

That's when the brave and quick-thinking cashier stepped up in a huge way. Savannah locked the store's front door and directed the woman down the hallway, where she gave the woman her own cell phone to call 911 and locked her inside the employee bathroom.
Savannah returned to the store's interior and unlocked the door, letting the alleged kidnappers inside. "I knew that if I left the door locked they would have caught on to something and probably took off," she said. "So I went back up there, and I unlocked the door. They seriously had no idea that I knew anything."
Within minutes, the cops arrived, and Savannah, now hailed a hero, learned the terrifying truth behind the woman's abduction.
