These 7-Week-Old German Shepherd Puppies Are Ready To Play!

These tiny German shepherd puppies are just learning how to play, and, boy, is it cute!

Thor, Luna Bear, and Ajax are seven-week-old German Shepherd puppies who are growing up under the care of their mom Tink, and appear to be loving every minutes of it!

German Shepherds are affectionate, energetic dogs that benefit from lots of play and socialization. Since German Shepherds are bred as herding dogs and guard dogs, they can be territorial if they aren’t socialized early, so this kind of fun is extra important. These little guys are probably just about ready to start meeting new people beyond their immediate family, but they’re definitely already well-trained to interact with other dogs. Just look how loving and gentle they are with one another. They play-fight over a shared toy, tails a-wagging.

They also thoroughly explore the boundaries of their backyard, which is still pretty novel for these little guys. (Imagine how they would respond to this garden!) Most importantly, they chow down an all-you-can-eat buffet of grass. While this can be a sign of illness in older dogs, in puppies it usually means that they are very curious, and interested in using all of their senses to get oriented.

By the end of the clip, they’ve even mastered some favorite doggy sports, like tag and hide-and-go-seek! What’s next? Though these guys aren't retrievers by nature, we fully expect these smart pups to  have perfected fetch by their next YouTube appearance.
