Some people are good at singing, and then there are people like 24-year-old Gerphil Geraldine Flores.
The Filipina singer was recently featured on Asia's Got Talent, and you only need to listen to a few notes of her song to know her talent is something truly spectacular.
Very few people can do classical music justice. Eleven-year-old Amira Willighagen is one of them; teenager Jackie Evancho is another; and now, you can add Gerphil Geraldine Flores to the list.
David Foster, the artist and producer who helped launch Charice's career, looks absolutely captivated by Gerphil's rendition of "Speak Softly, Love" (the theme from The Godfather). By the time she's done singing, her mother is in tears, the audience is giving her a standing ovation, and Foster is debating if he should send her straight into the semifinal round. While all the other judges immediately say yes to sending Gerphil through, Foster hesitates for dramatic effect.
You'll have to watch the video to see what he decides, but I think it's safe to say that we'll be seeing this girl for many years to come! Not only is she polished and humble, her voice is just heavenly!
