If you ever wondered what it would be like to be just like James Bond and drive a car underwater, you may now be in luck. But until the submarine car goes commercial, the Gibbs Quadski will give you a similar thrill on the surface of the water.
Gibbs, an amphibious sports equipment maker, released the Quadski in 2013. As a cross between a jet ski and an ATV (all-terrain vehicle), the Quadski seats one person (the Quadski XL seats two people) and can travel both on land and on water with just the press of a button.
But its most impressive feature is its lifespan — the Quadski can travel up to 600km on land or up to two hours on water.
You may think that it would take some time for this machine to make the transition from land to water, or that the driver needs to lend a hand. As it turns out, the driver doesn't need to lift a finger. Watch how seamlessly the Quadski automatically travels from land onto water in just an astounding five seconds!
This is definitely a vehicle for people who enjoy the thrill of extreme sports, like athlete Ant Burgess who thrilled us with one crazy jet ski routine!
This technological wonder was only available in Florida at the time of its release, but is now available to a few more regions in the United States.
