5-Year-Old Little Girl Offers To Donate Her Hair To Bestie Fighting Cancer

Seeing someone we care about fight a difficult disease is never easy. The treatments, which are meant to help them overcome the diagnosis, can often make them appear drained and lifeless.

That's especially heartbreaking when the person is so young. At a time when their only concern should be what game to play at recess, kids with cancer are consumed with how they'll feel after their next round of chemo.

At just 8 years old, little Jillian Butte had several tumors removed from both her brain and spine. It wasn't her first time going under the knife for a such heartbreaking reason. Her first diagnosis came when doctors discovered and removed a tumor in her brain nearly half the size of the cerebral mass three years earlier.

This time, she also has found some extra help in the form of her sweet best friend, 5-year-old Bailey Dickson.

The cuties love spending time together, especially when it comes to coloring, but when Bailey noticed her buddy frequently wearing wigs, she wanted to do more than help her pick out a new style. She wanted to give her own beautiful long locks over to the brave girl.

Her mom explains how it was entirely the youngster's idea and that while her hair isn't going directly to Jillian, it will be going to another little girl in need.

Take a look to hear more from the girls' moms about the precious pair.
