Friendship is one of the most important things in any person's life, especially that of a child.
When I was young, my friends were my entire world. I would do anything for my friends and they would do anything for me, like the guys who help their friend with a crazy idea. But when I saw what this little girl and her sick friend did for each other, my heart just melted.
Six-year-old Levi Mayhew suffers from a terminal genetic disorder on the Zellweger spectrum, which effect most major organs in the body. While his health has deteriorated, his friendship with one little girl has endured. Levi is great friends with Emma Boyer, a 10-year-old girl from his school who has been one of Levi's biggest cheerleaders.
Levi was given the opportunity to choose a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. But when I heard what Levi's wish was, I lost it!

Levi wanted to go to Disney World, but he was too weak. Instead he donated his wish to his best friend, Emma, so that she could go on a trip to Disney World.
And in the true spirit of friendship, Emma brought a cutout of Levi with her everywhere she went! If he couldn't physically be there, she at least would have him there in spirit.
Levi's mom told Indiana's Reporter-Times that Levi gave Emma a shirt saying, "Levi wished for ME to go to Disney!" Levi had a coordinating shirt saying "I wished for Emma to go to Disney!"
And Levi's wish for Emma was completely free thanks to Make-A-Wish!
Levi's mom told the Reporter-Times, "It’s a very warm feeling to know that another child loves and cares so much for your child."
"Emma was one of the few people who could bring him genuine joy."
After her trip, Emma made a scrapbook for Levi with all of the photos and gave it to him.
Others have even been inspired to take Levi to other fun destinations!
Levi and Emma's story has inspired a whole community.
Levi's mom told the Reporter-Times, "Emma has given so much to us without even realizing it."
