They Bullied This TV Anchor For Her Weight Change. But How She Responds Has Me Cheering!

We frequently hear about women getting criticized for being overweight and how hurtful it can be. But, we rarely focus on the other end of the spectrum.

Singer Kelly Clarkson has been teased for her size since she rose to fame on American Idol, and it’s only gotten worse since the birth of her daughter in 2014.

News anchor Jennifer Livingston also acknowledged a hurtful email she received from a viewer of Wisconsin’s WKBT who attacked her appearance.

Yet, E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic was forced to defend herself against another weight issue — being “so skinny.”

“It was something that I didn’t feel I ever needed to talk about because I think weight is very personal, whether you are underweight or overweight,” Rancic said in the Today interview below. “But, it became distracting.”

The journalist said she’s constantly bombarded with mean comments after her onscreen appearances, especially during awards season.

As Rancic slammed claims that she has an eating disorder, she also revealed the actual reason for her weight loss. Her explanation proves why it’s important not to comment on another person’s appearance.

During an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show, Rancic even spoke about how painful her weight loss has been for her.

“Trust me, I don’t want to lose weight,” she said. “Now, it’s killing me to look in the mirror.”
