This is what friendship looks like. This viral photo was taken hundreds of miles away in China, but its message will resonate with anyone.
Whenever a photo goes viral, you know it's because it touched people's hearts, like this picture of young Carter who bared his scars to all or this mom whose cries were heard after her son was bullied.
Hailed the "most beautiful student in China," according to the Independent, 18-year-old Xie Xu is doing something most people couldn't fathom.
Xu has been giving his best friend and classmate, 19-year-old Zhang Chi, piggyback rides for three whole years.
“They aren’t family, but Xie has been doing this for three years,” said Guo Chunxi, the deputy headmaster at Daxu High School in Xuzhou, located within China's Jiangsu province.
Photos of the two buddies were put on Weibo, China's version of Facebook, and went viral, spreading all over the world.

For three years, Xie Xu has been carrying Zhang Chi on his back.
Chi suffers from muscular dystrophy, rendering him unable to walk.
Xu makes around 12 trips daily with his friend, who cannot get around otherwise, on his back.
According to recent human rights reports, those with disabilities in China may not receive the same treatment as able-bodied people, and they often do not receive the necessary assistance to allow them to live independent lives.
A U.S. Human Rights report indicates that nearly 243,000 children with disabilities do not attend school — thanks to Xu, Chi is not one of them.
Though Chi is physically disabled, his mind is smart as a whip. Chi plans to attend the Nanjing Polytechnic Institute after graduation.
“He’s the most beautiful student. He also exerts positive influence on other students, who readily help Zhang. With their assistance, Zhang has never missed out on one single class," said Deputy Headmaster Guo.
