A grandmother and her granddaughter say they were kicked out of their hotel in the middle of the night, but the reason why is pretty mind-blowing. The grandmother, Susan Leger, says she was snuggled down for the night at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Helen, Georgia, where she was staying with her granddaughter, when she got an email from Hotels.com asking her to review the hotel.
She rated the hotel three out of five stars and gave some examples of things that were less than appealing, like that the pool wasn't open and that the toilet in the room didn't flush. She said that the review was pretty generous considering some of the issues. But just moments after posting the review, Susan says she was asked to leave!

The hotel manager called her on her cellphone and told her to get out. And when she resisted, because she and her granddaughter were in their pajamas and getting ready for bed, the police came knocking.
Susan was totally blown away by what happened. She actually said that, at first, she thought it was some kind of a bad prank. But the police soon let her know that, actually, it was within the hotel manager's rights to ask her and her granddaughter to go.
It seems completely uncalled for, but hotel manager Danny Vyas feels justified. In the police report, the reason he gave for asking the pair to leave was that "Leger had given the motel a bad review." While he is standing by his decision, Hotels.com has temporarily removed the hotel from its site. The booking site also issued Susan a refund for her stay.
