107-Year-Old Woman Celebrates Birthday By Riding A Motorcyle

One Iowa woman proved that daring doesn’t have an age limit by the way she celebrated her birthday.

When she turned 107, Celma Birdsall decided to do something she’s never done before: take a motorcycle ride. She may use a walker, but that didn't stop her.

A tattooed driver named Don Kirchner scooped her up in a motorcycle thanks to the Good Samaritan Society, the organization which made the birthday adventure possible. Just watch her go at the :50 mark! Her smile says it all.

Birdsall joins the group of other audacious grandmothers who refused to have boring birthday celebrations despite their age. There’s Evelyn Jones who threw the first pitch at a Seattle Mariners game for her 108th birthday and even Georgina Harwood who went skydiving when she turned 100. If these elderly women inspire you to be more adventurous on your next birthday, you're not the only one!

After her 10-minute ride, Birdsall also boasted about her "big and brawn" driver. She also admitted that being on a motorcycle is a bit harder than it looks.

“It's not very easy riding,"  she told Iowa's KTVO. "There are quite a lot of bumps and you feel every one of them."
