Grandma Sees The Hilarious Doll She Made 40 Years Ago

Determined to "break through the cloak of Alzheimer's using humor," Kate's granddaughter decided to dig out a very special doll Kate had made for her when she was a teenager. It was the last time she'd see her grandma, and she's grateful that the meeting included a big 'ol hearty laugh. At 99-year-old, the joke was on her now, and her reaction was simply priceless.

The doll in question is no ordinary doll, you see… it's a "flasher doll." Kate handmade a plush old man with a long, ratty, white beard — so long, in fact, that it's enough to cover what's hiding underneath. I think you get the picture, but just in case, I won't give it away. I nearly spit out my coffee when Grandma exclaims, "I made that?!"

It's been 40 years since Grandma saw this flasher doll, and it's clear to see she's hasn't lost her sense of humor.

Kate's granddaughter writes on YouTube, "I am writing this as a tribute because she just died last week — and she was such a charmer." Kate Woodie passed away two months before her 100th birthday.
