‘Grandpa Trump’ Blasted For Embarrassing Gaffe During Meeting With Saudi Royal Family

Donald Trump is taking the heat for falling asleep.

The president is making his rounds in the Middle East this week, and during a Tuesday morning ceremony with the Saudi royal family, he appeared to doze off right in front of the cameras.

Video and photos show the president closing his eyes for prolonged periods and appearing to nod. To his credit, he eventually shook it off, but the damage was done on social media.

Megyn Kelly tweeted that it was “so nice to have a president who can walk down the stairs without us having to hold our breath, who projects strength, who you know the world sees and understands is not some weak infirm pushover who’s squeezing in a mtg between Matlock episodes.”

That came on a video showing Trump’s arrival in Saudia Arabia, prior to his apparent snooze fest during the ceremony.

“Hate to break it to ya, Megyn, but grandpa trump was literally falling asleep in front of the cameras,” BrooklnDad_Defiant! responded to her on X. “His weakness is lack of character – the world knows all they have to do is wait for him to cave on his tariffs. Or bribe him, like a common thug.”

“How do you sleep in front of the media?” the Republicans against Trump account on X wrote while posting the video as well.

Trump was also hit for reportedly nodding off in court last year, although he denied that claim.

Medialite noted that former president, Joe Biden, nodded off during a climate change conference in Glasgow, Scotland three years ago, and the clip was “played on repeat in conservative media.”

It will be interesting to see how this one plays out, and what Trump has to say about it.
