While most people are laid to rest with concrete headstones honoring their lives, such was not the case for a man named Melvin — and his daughter, Ladona Glover, was heartbroken about it.
Ladona, her husband, and their kids moved to Las Vegas after Melvin passed away. For seven years, Ladona was forced to use a small flat picture frame to hold her deceased father's headstone, which the family could barely see through the cemetery's thick grass.
Ladona and her husband, Tracy, didn't have enough money for the type of grave marker she wanted. It had been a hard struggle to collect all of the funds needed for the resting place her dad deserved.
"It breaks my heart each time we go to visit, and my wife crawls around on the grass looking for his marker," Tracy said with tears in his eyes.
In 2014, Tracy nominated his wife, Ladona, for a very special on-air surprise.
The family arrived at the Davis Funeral Home & Memorial Park, thinking they were there to sign paperwork. In reality, the FOX5 Surprise Squad had something much more special in mind.
Please enjoy this incredible surprise, and SHARE it with your friends on Facebook.
