My great-grandparents died before I could forge a relationship with them. Some of my fondest memories are of my beautiful grandmother, and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. That's why this video struck me so much.
In the touching video below, an old man gets the sweetest surprise from his long distance relatives, and his expression is absolutely priceless. For Adam's father, it began as a totally normal day at his assisted living home. Little did he know, he was about to meet his new baby great granddaughter for the very first time. It was a moment he'd been waiting for for years, and it's finally about to happen.
This sweet meeting bridges the gap between the family's generations, if only for a day. Great-Grandpa is so proud to hold the newborn. "That's my great-granddaughter," he exclaims.
Though the baby will grow up without remembering this moment, she'll cherish the video forever.
Adam's father has since passed away since this video was posted on YouTube on Valentine's Day 2014, but he knows his dad would have loved the world to see and share in this unforgettable moment.
