Grieving Dad Tries To Save Lives After Daughter’s Tragic Death. The Town’s Reaction? Outrageous

When Shannon Hamilton heard the devastating news that his 16-year-old daughter had died in a car wreck, he never imagined that such a horrific occurrence would get him arrested.

His daughter Cecily and her 18-year-old boyfriend Taylor Scott Swing were killed when their car flipped over a bridge and landed in the water below. It turned out, however, that the bridge was missing a guardrail that should have been in place to ensure this kind of accident couldn't happen.

While no one knows what would have happened to the car had the proper defense been in place, it's possible the car wouldn't have ended up in the water, which could have saved those two young lives. It's horrible stories like these that remind you to always drive carefully! You have no idea what life could throw at you from one second to the next.

The grieving father pushed for a safety barricade to be placed by the county, and it was agreed upon that one would be set up there in order to avoid any more needless deaths. However, 30 days later, there was still no barricade.

That's when Hamilton decided to do something drastic. When he made his decision, he knew it was "legally wrong," but he responded to that sentiment by saying that what he did was "morally right." But, for his actions, he was charged with a felony crime and arrested on the same bridge that his daughter lost her life that terrible day.

Check out the video clip below to see what his terrible "crime" was. Would you support Hamilton for doing what he did? The community has begun to rally behind him and his cause. While that will never heal the pain of his lost daughter, hopefully it'll force something to change to ensure that an accident like this never happens again!
