Week after week, many Americans around the nation couldn't wait to tune into Hee Haw, the humorous television variety show featuring tons of jokes and country music.
And it's certainly impossible to speak about the show without mentioning one dreamy musical act in particular: the Hager Twins.
Jon and Jim, the Chicago-born twins who also served in the U.S. army, appeared on the show from 1969–1988.
"People laughed at themselves," Jim told the Associated Press in 1988 about the show. "They liked the chemistry on the show and the fast pace… It was cornball, no denying it." (There was also no denying that it was pure entertainment!)
Below is a special moment from the show when the twins performed "Glory Hallelujah, How They'll Sing" with fellow country singer Susan Raye. There's also guitarists along with some clapping extras who make this moment even more enjoyable.
Just like the time Glen Campbell and Johnny Cash performed the “Folsom Prison Blues” together during Goodtime Hour, the performance will make many people nostalgic.
Although Jim passed away in 2008 at the age of 66, with his brother following one year later, their memory will always live on, especially with old gems like this one below.
