We've heard of horses who count, elephants who paint, and dogs who sing along with their owners, but a hamster is generally not an animal that we think of as enjoying these more human pursuits.
However, this little hamster might be about to change all that. This guy possesses what appears to be a spectacular skill set: Using some of his delicious sunflower seeds as a medium, this wee cutie sets about totally amazing us with his artistic ability!

Sunflower seeds are a favorite among hamsters — they provide a good source of necessary vitamins and naturally occurring fats when given in conjunction with other appropriate foods like alfalfa pellets. As wonderful a treat as they are, it's important to know that if you do feed your hamster sunflower seeds (or any other seeded treat), that you choose a variety that is specifically packaged for hamsters; seeds and nuts packaged for humans contain many additives that can be harmful to the delicate health of hamsters. Variety of seed notwithstanding, we never would have thought that a hamster's love of sunflower seeds would translate into something so impressively artistic!
As it turns out, there is a good reason why this cute little guy was able to create such a masterpiece, and surprisingly, it has nothing to do with his love of sunflower seeds. Think you can guess what the secret to his artistic skill is?
