It's no secret that people are obsessed with their phones, and when they're driving — the time when phones should be avoided at all costs — I see tons of drivers looking down, reaching for their phones or scrambling to send that potentially fatal text.
According to the CDC, every day more than 9 people are killed and more than 1,153 people are injured in U.S. crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver. Distracted driving, which includes things like using a cell phone and texting, can increase the chance of a motor vehicle crash.
In this funny yet thought-provoking video, one vigilante motorcyclist was so fed up with all the cell-phone clad drivers he passed every day that he came up with a way to make them drop their phones. Since motorcycles can be pretty intimidating for any driver on the road, by simply gunning his bike and driving up to the driver's side, people would immediately drop their phones and pay attention to his "warning."
