While out gem hunting, a man and his wife and discover a baby fox who was in bad, bad shape. Scared and alone, the fox was weak, severely dehydrated and had a bloody neck wound. But luck was on the fox's side that day. The man's wife a veterinarian, and they were both vaccinated against rabies — so this couple confident about what they knew they had to do, which was to try their best to rescue and rehabilitate this poor little fox. In this video, we see the initial rescue outside, and then the couple with the baby at their home, feeding and nurturing him.
The man said, "She is as friendly as any kitten or puppy I have ever seen. Even more so probably. But she is a wild creature and she has his place in the wild. I'll make sure she has the best chance we can possibly give her."
And that they did. Over the course of a few days, the baby fox regained her strength. The heroic couple then took her to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center, where they said their final goodbye to this adorable miracle. This stuff happens all the time — I feel blessed to be able to see just a few of these wonderful videos.
