If you saw a calf on the side of the road, what would you do?
A baby cow, galavanting on the highway — not only shocking you but also leaving drivers and itself in danger.
I think that's always the concern when there are animals near a highway or roadway of any sort. And that's clearly the concern in the video you're about to see.
Monte Belew seems like a policeman that is ready to save the day by any means necessary. So when a baby calf was running wild on Highway 79, he decided to call his buddy David Bevill.
Bevill is clearly a trained cowboy of some sort. This footage shows him climbing on top of the moving patrol car and swinging his rope round and round, until finally he lassoes the calf right around its head!
Almost immediately, the calf pulls. It seems Bevill may have underestimated her strength. He goes flying forward then screams back to his driving buddy to quit laughing and help him out!
This footage is very out of the ordinary, don't you think? Who would have thought a calf would make it to a highway? Or that her life would be saved by a real-life cowboy!
