These Yearbook Photos Are So Nostalgically Cringeworthy, They’re Perfect

With the school year well underway, you're probably getting your kids ready for school pictures soon, if you haven't already.

Depending on the kid, yearbook photos could be a huge deal. Outfits are planned weeks in advance, and the anxiety of developing a blemish for the big day is likely to bring on more pimples than usual.

Ah, just thinking about it, don't you miss your days at school?

These '70s, '80s, and '90s fashionistas wanted to take their style to the extreme and will now go down in yearbook history as the most epic representations of their time.

These 12 photos from past yearbooks are all great for a laugh, but only because we all know we've made equally questionable choices in our day. These adults have shared their old photos from the past online so the world can laugh along with them. I know for a fact that I laugh at my own high school yearbook picture every single time I catch a glance of it smack dab in the middle of my parents' fridge.

Do you have a copy of any of your school yearbook photos to share? Are they just as intense as these? SHARE with family and friends to see what they've got, too!

"So this is my first yearbook photo as a teacher. Due to awkwardness and an ill-advised handlebar mustache, I ended up looking incredibly devious. It wasn't intentional."

In fifth grade, you don't know any better, but to be fair, no one did in the '80s. Gotta love the bangs, though.

A hint of decades past with those rainbow suspenders. Very nice. Fancy a roller disco, perhaps?

I don't even want to know how long and meticulous the process was in order to achieve this look.

Ah, yes, the tinted, oversize glasses paired with a fluffy 'do.

This, um, subtle wind-swept look is due to come back any day now. Maybe…

The helmet look was very in at the time. I think it reminded us all of Star Wars

The carefully and precisely curved line of the bangs gives the hair a nice, mushroomed look. The puffy sleeves are a lovely addition, too.

If you lived through the '80s, I dare you to tell me with a straight face that you never rocked the pirate look.

Bold primary colors and luscious locks? Dreamboat. And the wire frames to top it all off!

Everyone knows that longer sides must be straight, while bangs remain a bit curly for a nice contrast.

I know, I know. The hardest part of taking a picture, next to picking out your favorite, vibrant shirt, is keeping your eyes open.

Did you rock any of these looks for your yearbook photos? There's no shame in it! I'm sure that we'll all look at photos of ourselves 20 or 30 years from now and wonder what on this great green Earth we were thinking.

Please SHARE with family and friends on Facebook to see if they have any embarrassing yearbook photos to share with you.
