Is there a more recognizable Halloween cult classic than Hocus Pocus?
For years, diehard fans have been hoping and begging for a sequel, a reboot, or anything that will continue the legacy of these characters and their story.
Finally, it's been confirmed that Disney is in the very early stages of a television reboot of the original 1993 movie.
While there is currently no date set or actors attached, Sarah Jessica Parker and Bette Midler have both said at one point or another that they would potentially be onboard should something like a sequel ever be made.

1. There Was No Full Moon On Halloween of 1993

The Halloween in the movie is supposed to be the year of 1993. However, there was no full moon on Halloween on that year – it was the day before.
2. Rosie O'Donnell Was Almost In It

She was offered the role of Mary Sanderson, but she wasn't sure about the whole eating children thing. The role went to Kathy Najimy instead.
3. Leo Was Also Almost In It

Leonardo chose his role in What's Eating Gilbert Grape over the offer to play Max in Hocus Pocus. He turned down a whole lot of cash to follow his gut and play alongside Johnny Depp instead, as reported by The Huffington Post.
4. The Kid Actors Played With The Kids From Home Improvement

Vinessa Shaw, who played Allison, told ABC News that not only did that cast of kids get along with each other really well, but they also got to hang out with the kids form Home Improvement, which was filming on an adjacent lot.
5. Thora Birch Didn't Get Along With One Of The Actors

That would be the feline actor that played Binx. Her character Dani loved Binx, but Thora wasn't as sure about her scenes with the kitty as Dani was.

9. Bette Hat Tipped Another 1993 Project She Was In

Bette also starred in the TV musical, Gypsy in the same year. In that, she has a line, "Hello world, my name is Rose, what's yours?" In Hocus Pocus, she reprises that line and says, "Hello Salem, my name is Winifred, what's yours?"
