Kind Homeless Man Helps Stranded Young Woman

It's unfortunate that sometimes, how a person looks affects our opinion of them. If we see homeless people idling in the streets, we tend to think badly of them, or not think of them at all. We would never know, unless we talked to them, that they are capable of the same kind of love and compassion as we are. And in the moments that we find ourselves in need of a friend or a shoulder to cry on, they could be there.

That's what a woman named Nicole Sedgebeer found out late one night on her way home. She unfortunately missed her train after a night out, and the station was locked. The next train would not run until the next morning. She found herself crying and alone.

Then, she was approached by homeless man named Mark. He didn't ask her for anything, but just wanted to help her. Nicole was shocked by his intentions, and by the next morning, he had made an unbelievable impression on the young woman, who eventually made it home safely.

Scroll down to find out what Mark did that made Nicole so appreciative.

She says in a Facebook post, "I hope this story makes people look twice when they see a homeless person. Last night I missed my last train home and when I finally got to Euston to wait til the morning, the station was locked."

"Just as I was about to burst into drunken tears I met my homeless friend Mark. He said he would take me to a cafe that was open as it was too dangerous to walk by myself. He left me after a coffee and a chat and explained that he had to go get his sleeping bag but he would be back at 5 to walk me back to the station. (Me being a typical human being I didn't believe he would come back)."

"It got past 5 and he was a no-show. As I got round the corner my homeless friend Mark was running down the street towards me."

"Not only did he turn up but he had to get a bus to come get me. This man who I probably would of avoided eye contact with if he asked for spare change, completely changed such a negative event into the most eye-opening event in my life. Mark you are one special man. This was also his first-ever selfie!"
