Use Bubble Wrap And Melted Chocolate To Create A Realistic Honeycomb Cake

Bees are not very loved by most, but their honey is!

If you love honey and you like bees from a distance, then you will really appreciate this honeycomb cake!

It is easy to make a cake that looks like a bumblebee by strategically placing yellow and black cake on top of each other, but you can take that cake to the next level with some honeycomb.

YouTube baking expert Cookies, Cupcakes, and Cardio has created a flawless tutorial on how to make a honeycomb bee cake, and her tip for making the honeycomb just right is key.

This cake has so many different unique parts — there is a honey drizzle, miniature bees, and of course, the honeycomb. If you are new to baking, you might want to watch this video at least twice before trying it.

You can follow her instructions for laying the actual cake from the video below, but make sure you watch carefully as she creates the honeycomb. She pours the melted chocolate on a piece of sprayed Bubble Wrap and works the chocolate until it is spread out. This is a very interesting way to frost the cake without using fondant.

If you thought this cake was super clever, you will also love this cake that looks like a giant M&M's and is filled with little ones!
