If you've ever spent time around horses, you know that nothing gets them riled up quite like the prospect of food. Most might be content to whinny persistently or even start pacing back and forth, but this horse decided to take things a step further. Just watch what happens when the hay truck starts driving around the field. I've never seen a horse go after a bale of hay like this before!
Some commenters on the video expressed concern that the horse's reaction was due to being underfed, but a closer look shows that this frisky guy is in perfect condition and seems to be having a bit of fun as he chases that delicious hay bale around. The last time I saw a horse get so excited to eat his dinner was when this one threw a temper tantrum to get the food he wanted! Just like people, horses have unique personalities that can shine through in the funniest ways. Some are as playful as this guy, while others, like this one who's super patient with his goat friends, are content to just lounge around all day.
Maybe this horse will learn some proper table manners in the future, but if not, let's hope his antics keep getting caught on video! I couldn't stop laughing when he buried his face in all that hay.
