While most buff guys at the gym spend their time in the weight room squatting and lifting, Trent Rubin prefers to stick to his personal favorite workout…which may actually be quite a bit more challenging.
Because Trent is a personal trainer at Good Life Fitness Kitchener Fairway, where this awesome moment was captured, we're going to go ahead and guess that he had a ton of time to practice this daring and awe-inspiring routine.
The cardio you get from running on the treadmill can be pretty intense already, but when you add energetic dance moves and even somersaults into the mix, it seems like it would be a pretty hard combo to master, but not impossible, as has been proven by another "treadmill dancer" who was everywhere from our site, to Ellen's couch.
The Michael Jackson song seems to fit perfectly with this particular type of exercise, allowing Trent to moonwalk in between the other extremely difficult moves he does, which all get cheered on by that day's gym-goers.
After watching this video, I have just two questions for Trent: How many times did he have to practice this before getting it down pat without any falls? And how is the guy on the treadmill directly next to Trent so focused that he never even glances up at the performance going on to his side?!
Either way, it's a pretty astonishing trend that seems to slowly be catching on, so I'm keeping my phone handy next time I'm at the gym!
