Jack The Adorable Sheep Thinks He Is A Dog

Oh my goodness, you are going to love 6-month-old Jack the sheep. His human, 48-year-old Alison Sinstadt, refers to the baby as her "sheep dog."

She even takes Jack for walks on a leash with her 9-year-old springer spaniel, Jessie! Jack was rescued as a lamb but he is a little bit more like a rescue dog.

"Jack and Jessie are really good friends," Alison said. "Jack walked up to the house one day and he just laid down with the dog. Ever since then they've been inseparable."

Jack isn't the only animal who doesn't quite know what his species is, we've seen this behavior before: Charcoal the kitten thinks that his doggy friend is his mama!

But adorable Jack loves wearing a collar, fetching for sticks, and jumping on his hind legs; he even tries to bark sometimes. Alison is teaching him a few more tricks like handshakes and how to roll over.

What's even more peculiar is the fact that when Jack meets the other sheep, he doesn't try to hang with the flock. Nope, he herds them like a dog.

"He goes out into the field with Jessie, and when Jessie is out rounding up the sheep. Jack will round them up right with him," she said. Jack will hang outside for a while but he always comes back inside to sleep with Jessie.

Jack certainly has a special place in Alison's heart. While they plan on keeping Jack as a beloved family member, Alison does, however, hope that he returns to the flock eventually.
