5-Year-Old Boy Is Called Onstage, Then A Hand Pushes Open The Box In Front Of Him

Jayden Wright of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, turned 5 years old on April 6. Jayden's school wanted to do something special for him being that his mom, a soldier stationed in Guantanamo Bay since August 2016, couldn't be with him to celebrate his big day… or could she?

In fact, Jayden's mom was granted leave, so she decided to surprise her little boy on his birthday!

We've seen these kinds of surprises before, but no matter how many times we do, they always warm our hearts.

It's easy to know why, too. One of the first aspects of a soldier's life that gets sacrificed in the face of their duty to their country is the ability to be able to spend time with their families.

We love to see their reunions when they finally get them, as well as the purity of the happiness experienced by the soldiers and their families.

In the video below, Jayden was called onstage to volunteer during his school's Fine Arts Day presentation. The students around him began a countdown for Jayden to open a box.

Just wait until you see what happens when the kids reach "one"!
