Opponents Defend People Mocking ‘Hypocrite’ JD Vance & Kids Over Disneyland Trip

In the age of social media, word tends to travel at lightning speed. It also allows for impassioned citizens to spring into action quickly, and that’s exactly what local Californians did when they heard Vice President JD Vance would be popping by Disneyland on a vacation with his family. And they ensured that his magical day turned a bit morose, even if it did impact his young kids.

Vance was greeted by throngs of hecklers and protestors who are enraged about the current ICE raids. The Los Angeles Times reported that a crowd of protesters began to form near the park at 5:30 p.m., roughly 30 minutes after Air Force 2 landed at John Wayne Airport on July 11, 2025. Many of the protesters showed off homemade posters and waved Mexican and Californian flags

The VP was spotted several times around the park, and since there was no notice of his arrival, he allegedly caused a cluster of long wait times and disorganization, further annoying the masses.

Now, people can’t stop laughing at how much heat the VP caught for his short visit.

“I just saw this video of JD Vance ‘running’ and now I can’t stop laughing,” wrote X user @JoJoFromJerz.

Most notably, people called out Vance’s hypocrisy. In 2022 the VP called Disney the “woke” and said it had declared “war on America’s children.”

One commenter pointed out: “Very WOKE of him. Could’ve gone to Silver Dollar City or Dollywood.”

People also posted on left-leaning social media site Bluesky in defense of the protesters, despite the emotional harm the incident may have caused Vance’s children, who are 8, 5, and 3, according to Fox News.

“This is gonna sound snarky but if your dad is a piece of s— it’s better to realize it sooner rather than later,” former HuffPost reporter Michael Hobbes wrote.

“People who feel bad for JD Vance’s kids as family gets booed at Disneyland. I get it, but better those kids know now what their father is about,” Clara Jeffery, editor-in-chief of Mother Jones wrote. “Other kids are watching their parents get shipped off to gulags.”

“It turns out finding out that JD vance is being booed in Downtown Disney is exactly the news I needed,” University of Washington associate professor and astrophysicist Sarah Tuttle commented.

Clearly, people want Vance to “go back where he came from” and stick around Washington rather than derail their vacations.
