Jean Sok proves that the only limitations that exist are in our heads. The professional dancer with just one leg can move better than most people with two.
"Any time I want to find I job, I audition as a normal person because I don't feel like I have any limitations,'' he says.
While Jean chooses not to discuss how he lost his leg, he admits that many people discouraged him from becoming a dancer — a dream that began when he was 15.
"I knew it might take me longer, but little by little I tried, and eventually I got to where I am right now," Jean says.
Jean Sok is in great company with dancers Ma Li, who lost her right arm, and Zhai Xiao Wei, who lost a leg. Not just because they are amputees, but because they are all resilient and talented individuals.
Jean was a dancer in Cirque Du Soleil's Michael Jackson tribute "The Immortal World Tour." People have no problem recognizing his talent once he begins moving.
In the video below, you'll see Jean step into a room full of dancers and steal the spotlight. He uses his incredibly strong upper body strength and crutches as tools to help him move.
There isn't anyone in the room that didn't have to scoop their jaws off the floor after his performance.
Watch below and please SHARE if you think Jean proves that we should focus on what people can do not on what they can't!
