Jeff Dunham and his little puppet friends are staying in Las Vegas a little bit longer than expected.
The comedian/ventriloquist announced that he’s extending his residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino by four months — his last Jeff Dunham: Not Playing with a Full Deck show will now take place in October 2015.
It seems fans just can’t get enough of Dunham’s jokes — not to mention those told by his very distinct puppets. There’s the retired, grumpy Walter, whose feelings towards his wife are embarrassingly comical. Additionally, there’s beer-loving redneck Bubba J., Achmed the Dead Terrorist, the purple-skinned Peanut and his own dummy Little Jeff, as well as the spicy pepper José Jalapeño on a Stick.
Dunham, who was recognized by Guinness World Records for selling the most tickets (1,981,720) for a stand-up comedy tour during Spark of Insanity, created his puppets by hand and gave them each their unique personalities.
The puppets' popularity has since taken off, as they’ve each developed a fan base of their own. Facebook photos of Walter, for example, get more than 100,000 views — and Peanut isn’t too far behind.
Below are memorable moments from each that have me laughing every time I watch them.
