In 2006, a man named Jeff Markin suffered a massive heart attack, drove himself to the hospital and died. But then things took an incredible turn…
Dr. Chauncey Crandall at the Palm Beach Hospital led the ER team in trying to revive Jeff by shocking him more than five times. After 40 minutes with no heartbeat, Dr. Crandall declared Jeff dead. But just as Dr. Crandall was leaving the room, he heard what he says was God telling him to go back to Jeff, and pray for him. He did, and then he asked his staff to shock him one last time — and Jeff came back to life with a perfectly regular heartbeat. No medical explanation.
Today, Jeff is alive and well. We've seen stories like this before. It reminds me of John Smith, a young Missouri boy who died, but whose heart began beating within a minute or two of his mother’s prayer. Some people think these situations come down to medicine and pure luck, while others believe it's a miracle thanks to divine intervention. Watch the video below to hear what Jeff says he experienced while he was dead, and how this experience changed his life, and the life of Dr. Crandall.
