Jennifer Lopez hasn't aged one bit, and her cover shoot for the December issue of InStyle is just the latest proof.
The singer and actress posed seminude in a green Valentino cape, and it's one of her most revealing looks yet. But it's not the first time Jennifer has showed some skin. This seminude look is reminiscent of a certain infamous green dress from 18 years ago, which caused a stir at the 2000 Grammys. And somehow, J. Lo looks almost exactly the same as she did then.
Looks aside, the truth is that a lot has changed for Jennifer over the past 18 years. Now 49 years old, she has released multiple hit albums, has successfully transitioned to film and TV, and is now raising twins, all while juggling her busy work life. She revealed she's more confident than ever — though, on the other hand, her back does hurt sometimes.
In her interview with InStyle, Jennifer explained how she's aged so gracefully, how celebrity culture has shifted over the years, and more.

Jennifer is on the cover of the December issue of InStyle. Inside the issue, the singer opened up about aging, her body, and the tabloids.

And in the accompanying photo shoot, she (almost) bares it all.

The 49-year-old wore a green Valentino Haute Couture cape as a dress, visibly showing off her curves. The revealing look is reminiscent of her other infamous green dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards.

This leads us to one very important question: How does she look the same now as she did 18 years ago?!

The singer-actress credits her youthful looks to her healthy lifestyle. She doesn't drink alcohol or caffeine, and she gets plenty of sleep.
"I've taken care of myself, and now it shows," she said.

It probably helps that she keeps up an impressive workout regimen, too!
At almost 50, Jennifer is showing no signs of slowing down. She produces and hosts a reality show, World of Dance, and she's starring in a movie coming out in December, Second Act. She still releases music regularly, and she just completed a residency in Vegas.
She also told the mag that she works out and meditates every day. Oh, and she's in a committed relationship and a mother to preteen twins. How?!
Motivation, that's how. She's been this motivated since the very beginning, she explained.
"If I didn’t have certain ambitions, I might have gotten married after high school and had kids and decided to get a job at a bank in Castle Hill, like my aunt did," she said. "It’s just that I had dreams and ideas that were different."
Jennifer claims she hasn't noticed many of the usual effects of aging, like lower energy or a failing memory.
But even J. Lo isn't totally immune to time. She admitted that she's been squinting at her phone more and the middle of her back hurts occasionally.

The Bronx native also spoke about body positivity, which she says always came naturally to her. She never even noticed the size 0 models in magazines, let alone aspired to be like them.
“In my family, curves were glorified and part of the culture. It was just like, 'Jennifer has a big butt, and it’s good,'" she recalled.
And although it's tough to be in the spotlight, she maintains that it's easier now than it used to be. Before social media, tabloids were the only source of information about celebrities.
"It was actually worse then," Jennifer said. "It was just crazy. Now at least I can show you who I am a little bit. Back then you just believed anything you read on the cover of a tabloid. Many times it wasn’t true, or it was like a third of the truth."
Jennifer also seems to be enjoying one of the main plus sides of getting older: She's more confident in herself, and she knows what she deserves.
"When I first started, it was always a matter of 'Am I good? Am I good enough? Do I need to be better? What can I do to be better?'" she said.
"Now I know I’m really good at this. So I just want to do it."
What do you think of Jennifer's comments about aging?
