As the leaves prepare to turn their beautiful fall colors, there's something else happening all across America: football.
Yes, that's right, football season is officially here. Whether you follow the NFL, or are from more of a college ball family, this is a very exciting time of the year for a lot of people. Friends, family, and neighbors gather in living rooms and bars to watch the games unfold.
But before every game, there is a display of that patriotism that keeps America glued together in harsh times.
The singing of the national anthem before football games isn't just a fanfare of extravagance. It's an important reminder of what our country stands for, and that what we all need to stick together regardless of which team we're rooting for.
Country singer and songwriter Jennifer Nettles stepped up to the arena before this college football game with Virginia Tech and Tennessee facing off against each other. Her rendition left the over 150,000 people in the stadium (a record-breaking attendance record for the National Collegiate Athletic Association) in awe.
Her performance isn't full of super complicated runs, but it is full of heart, and sung with a beautiful, strong voice.
All of the servicemen and servicewomen in the crowd stand at attention as do the spectators in the stands. As the camera pans throughout the audience, you can also see how emotional this performance made some of the sports fans on this evening.
With a show like this, who wouldn't get at least a bit emotional?
Please SHARE this incredible rendition if you are also touched by it!
