As a huge fan of romantic musicals, the couple in the video below definitely made my heart swell with their precious performance. The harmonious husband and wife are both actors, Jeremy Jordan and Ashley Spencer.
You might recognize Jordan from his role in Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah's gospel film Joyful Noise, where he got to show off his pipes singing alongside the legendary ladies. Spencer has been seen in Broadway hits Rock of Ages and the revival of Grease, among several other roles.
The couple, who married in 2012, spent some time in Atlanta, GA, while Jordan filmed the spiritual flick, and as he hilariously explains, took the opportunity to check out some local jewelry stores for an engagement ring.
Unfortunately for Spencer, Jordan balked at the price when she showed him the ring that she loved most. However, the sneaky entertainer had something up his sleeve once she returned to their home in NYC.
I won't ruin the sweet surprise ending to their delightful love story. After explaining how he got out of the dog house, the pair begin a duet from the film, a gospel rendition of the classic love song "Maybe I'm Amazed" by Paul McCartney.
You can really see just how much these two care for each other as they joke around and belt out the beautiful tune. Spencer hits a wrong note early on, and Jordan makes sure to razz her about it during his turn at the mic again.
Take a look below to hear the charming duo for yourself.
And don't forget to SHARE their amusing performance with your friends!
