Unplanned moments sometimes create the best outcomes for us. Jesse Moore met a stranger by chance, and that encounter changed his perspective and his entire life as a whole.
Jesse was a homeless teen living in Kentucky. In the video below, posted on February 8, 2017, Jesse explains, "I wasn't living, I was existing. I wasn't getting anything out of any day. I was just getting by, I wasn't really — I didn't really have any motivation."
One day, the homeless teen ran into a stranger who would change everything for him.
Bryan Metzger, the general manager of Martin Autoplex in Bowling Green, Kentucky, says, "He didn't ask me for anything. He didn't ask me for cigarettes or money or anything like that. He just wanted somebody to talk to."
The two of them kept chatting until Bryan heard of Jesse's situation. Then he learned the homeless teen's story.
Bryan states, "So many things have happened to him and he was just like, 'This is how life's supposed to be.'"
Bryan wanted to change Jesse's way of thinking as well as his startling circumstances. He decided to offer Jesse some work around his car dealership. Since then, Jesse has been doing great work in the detail shop, but he and his new employer have even bigger plans for him.
Aaron Stark, the used-car manager at the dealership, says, "That's our end goal, it's to put him in sales and change his life completely."
The dealership's newest employee amazed his coworkers from day one with his outstanding work ethic and positive attitude.
Jesse is now working at proving himself at his job, bettering his life, and even getting his driver's license in the near future.
