Jessica Cox was born without arms. As a kid she was bullied by her peers, often called "hook," or "robot girl." She and her mother both became severely depressed because they felt Jessica would always be the odd-man-out.
However, after Jessica's mom put her in a dance recital when she was 6 years old, she became an unstoppable force. Today Jessica is a pilot, trained martial artist, and motivational speaker.
Recently a photograph of her and 3-year-old RE Pranke has gone viral. RE (short for Ruth Evelyn) was also born without arms.
Her mom, Karlyn, drove six hours so that RE could meet Cox. Karlyn reminds me of Sarah's mom, another girl who was born without an arm. Her mom went out of her way to find her friends with a similar condition and they changed each other's lives.
"It was amazing," Karlyn ABC News. "I'm just grateful that we had the opportunity to show everyone that it doesn't matter if you have arms or not, that you can do the same things as everyone else — you just may have to do it a little differently."
In the photograph Jessica and RE share a beautiful moment where they hug without arms.

When she was six years old her mother put her in a dance recital. Jessica was reluctant but when she saw that she could dance just like the other girls, everything changed. She became unstoppable.

These days, she is a certified pilot and motivational speaker who encourages others like her to keep going no matter how many people tell them they can't.
