Jessica was born with congenital hypodontia. The rare birth defect caused her to never develop adult teeth. With only six of her front teeth and four of her molars, Jessica can only eat very soft foods and liquids. Aside from the daily hurdles, not having a smile has taken its toll on her self-esteem.
"I absolutely feel like I am a burden to my family. I just feel like it's emotionally draining for everybody. It's terrible. What I want more than anything is to truly and genuinely be able to smile for the first time," Jessica tells The Doctors.
The procedure to correct Jessica's jaw and teeth would cost Jessica a whopping $80,000, but The Doctors' team of experts is doing it all for free. At 20 years old, Jessica's dream is finally coming true. Like we've seen with single mother Susan, a smile makeover can be life-changing. Watch as she sees her new smile for the first time in a tear-jerking reveal.
"In my mind, no matter how much pain I've gone through in the last couple of days from the surgery… I don't think I can ever truly repay how much this is going to change my life," she says with tears in her eyes.
