While many people have been known to doodle, most of us probably stick to using the same old materials like pen and paper. After all, what else would you use?
Well, if you're artist Jesuso Ortiz, you can use just about anything. Utilizing flowers, buttons, office supplies, and more, the Spain-based artist is able to create all kinds of clever images, turning everyday objects into completely new types of art.
He keeps his drawn additions simple, so that the objects he incorporates into his pieces stand out all the more. Seeing the unexpected potential in everyday objects is a real talent, like when one family turned sticks and rocks into alien creatures for some friendly street art.
Check out the colorful, funny creations Jesuso has made using things you might not normally associate with art. Perhaps his artwork will inspire you to see the things around you in a whole new way!
If you had to turn an ordinary object into a piece of art, what would it be? Let us know in the comments.

Using unexpected objects, Jesuso turns small, everyday items that might otherwise go unnoticed into surprising works of art.
A shell and a piece of coral might not make many people think of Christmas, for example, but this holiday-themed piece really puts them to good use.
For Jesuso, it's all about what the objects can become once you see past what you assume them to be. In this way, flower petals can become the feathers of this headdress.
And, quite easily, a badminton birdie can take the form of a dancer's skirt.
Sometimes, the objects take on a more literal form, like this dancer's ribbon. But other times, they're totally unexpected!
This clever artist also uses art supplies as props. These items are still helping him to make art, but in a completely new way — like with this paintbrush…
…and these pencils. Not only are they used as objects to create the art, but they are used as objects in the art, as well.
In Jesuso's hands, the possibilities are truly endless, as evidenced by these paper clip creatures.
Jesuso has a way of seeing all the things an object can be. He doesn't get trapped thinking a rose, for example, can only ever be a rose. With a little imagination, it can be a flamingo!
These peppers can easily become adorable flowers.
Here, you can see Jesuso's love of bright colors. And by keeping the sketches fairly simple, we are able to appreciate the beauty of the objects all the more.
Sometimes, Jesuso's objects themselves provide a splash of color for even more impact, like his take on the famous St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow.
These adorable, "friendly" carrots might be simple to create, but they pack a heartwarming punch.
These cute buttons immediately transport us above the clouds, as they become hot-air balloons.
This artist's work truly shows that anything is possible with a little bit of imagination.
