Even the king of the beach, Jimmy Buffett, is warning people to get off the coast — although it looks like he's still enjoying the waves while he can!
Jimmy Buffett just shared a photo on Instagram that shows him on a South Carolina beach, right where Hurricane Florence is expected to make landfall. But the fact that he's holding a surfboard and grinning wildly in the picture does not mean he wants you to join him.
The biggest storm of the year has officially arrived. Florence is a category 2 hurricane that's over 15,000 square miles, and it's considered especially dangerous due to its size and slow speed. Experts forecast record-breaking rainfall and flooding inland, not to mention damage from the heavy sustained winds.
And all that mayhem is headed straight at the Carolinas, where Jimmy is apparently still surfing. Check out the Mayor of Margaritaville's warning to all his loyal fans below:
Jimmy may be 71 years old, but he's still living the good life.
The icon continues to do live shows and sing his timeless tracks with some of the biggest names in the business.
Even Pitbull joined Jimmy on stage during a recent tour stop!
But when the creator of Margaritaville isn't performing to tens of thousands of fans, you can usually find him at the beach.
Nobody loves the water more than this man.
Jimmy's Instagram feed is all about the good life. When the guy's not onstage, he's usually within walking distance of the ocean.
It's actually impressive that he still looks this good after seven decades of sun and tropical drinks!
Somehow we doubt that glass is full of tap water!
Jimmy doesn't just talk about loving the water — he truly embodies the lifestyle.
Don't get us wrong, it's not all sold-out concerts and drinking on expensive boats. Sometimes Jimmy actually gets wet, too!
Seventy-one years old and he can still do this? Our new diet is going to be based around margaritas!
This is probably the most jealousy-inducing picture we've ever seen. Surfing with dogs? There's nothing better than that.
So when the biggest beach-lover on earth says "Stay away," you should listen.
Here's the photo he recently posted, bragging about the "hurricane swell" and tagging his location at Folly Beach, South Carolina. Which might be an all-too-appropriate name if he doesn't get out of there soon.
This is not the most cautionary quote we've ever heard. In fact, it's just the opposite.
But don't worry, he quickly warns everyone not to take his lyric seriously in the bottom half of the caption:

Jimmy's fans were excited by the picture of their hero — and just a little bit worried.
But as far as we know, this is what Jimmy actually did. No one has reported seeing a 71-year-old trying to surf as Hurricane Florence makes landfall.
Still, everyone's just a tad worried about the singer's safety. Seems like he might be cutting this a little close!
But if anyone knows how to stay safe on the water, it's Jimmy Buffett. We're sure the legend is perfectly safe somewhere and probably has a drink in his hand.
