Marine Corps Veteran Gets A One-Of-A-Kind Surprise From Jimmy Fallon. This Is Beautiful!

Jimmy Fallon gave a one-of-a-kind gift to a one-of-a-kind veteran.

Back on Sept 9, 1961, Fallon's father-in-law, William H. Juvonen, was on a routine training flight that suddenly went out of control.

We're used to Jimmy Fallon playing the funny man, but this video really showed off how patriotic he is, and how respectful he is to the men and women in our nation's armed services.

As Juvonen's plane began to fall faster and faster toward the ground, the young pilot had mere moments left to attempt to save his stricken aircraft. He made a last ditch effort to correct the deathly spin he was caught in, but to no avail. When he realized he couldn't save the plane, he decided to eject; he pulled the harness and his seat shot into the sky.

Thankfully, Juvonen survived the harrowing ordeal, but on top of it all, he now found himself a member of a very unique club of pilots: The Martin-Baker tie club.

Martin-Baker has been designing ejection seats for fighter pilots since 1944. Since "the club" was created in 1957, over 5,800 registered members have joined, all of which have had their lives saved by the Martin-Baker ejection seat systems over the years.

And in 1961, Jimmy Fallon's Father in Law became member #228. To commemorate that special day, Jimmy Fallon had a spectacularly memorable gift to give the father of his wife!
