The exact cause of death for 7-year-old JJ Vallow has been revealed.
Forensic pathologist Garth Warren, MD, has testified that the young boy died of asphyxia caused by duct tape on his mouth and a plastic bag over his head. Fox 13 reports that Warren added that while conducting the autopsy, his team "found a white plastic bag over his head with duct tape. Duct tape was also bound around his forearms, hands and ankles."
Authorities were given the clothing JJ wore, as well as the duct tape, the plastic bag, and the boy's hair and teeth once the autopsy had been completed. Warren also explained that his team found no evidence of any type of disease or organ damage.
The bodies of JJ and his sister, Tylee Ryan, were found on June 9, 2020, in the backyard of a home owned by Lori Vallow Daybell's husband, Chad Daybell.
The trial against Lori Vallow Daybell is currently in week three of a planned eight weeks of testimony.
