Best friends Joey Talmonti and Heather White were going for a walk together. Then the unthinkable happened. Seemingly out of nowhere, Joey collapsed in the middle of the street. The 43-year-old had a massive heart attack. Heather, in a panic, couldn't remember how to do CPR. As her friend was dying, another unthinkable event happened. Lying in the street, a car nearly ran him over but stopped short. The driver, dashed out of the car, and over to Joey. Immediately he did chest compressions as he guided traffic away from the incident. He performed CPR for five minutes on the dead man and brought him back to life.
“I died right here in the middle of the street,” Joey told CBS's Get Marty. “He saved my life. I died in the street. He saved my life. I just want to thank him. Please find him for me."
Now all Joey wants is to find the man who brought him back to life so he can thank him. Joey and Heather describe him as an African-American male, in good shape, who wore an Abercrombie T-shirt, and was in his mid-30s. Life has a really funny way of brining strangers together in the unlikeliest ways, but sometimes when a hero is needed, one is just miraculously put right in front of you.
“Please help me. Please help me find this man. I owe him my life,” says Joey.
