It's been 34 years since the death of John Lennon, one of music's most beloved icons. The Beatles' goofiest member was also the most outspoken of the legendary band, and his murder shocked the world.
John Lennon was assassinated by Mark David Chapman outside his house in front of his wife, Yoko Ono. But his music lives on forever.
"Imagine" is one of my favorite songs of all-time. Here, in a rare video, we're treated to John's isolated vocal track from the actual recording. It gives me chills just moments in. This version also utilizes rare film footage of the recording of the song, while the rest of the video uses footage from the official music video. There's some 'bleed' from the piano and drums but still nicely spotlights Lennon's voice.
