Johnny Cash And June Carter’s Performance Is An Awesome Reminder Of True Love

You don't even need to like country music to appreciate the greatness of Johnny Cash. Known as "the man in black", he was a living legend in the music world for decades, but one of the greatest memories of his lifetime was his love story with fellow country star, June Carter.

As the story goes, Johnny Cash performed with The Carter family for many years and always had his eye on lively June for years, even through another marriage. In 1968, Johnny proposed to June while the couple was performing on stage in London and they were married a few weeks later. There was no denying their love for each other and it was always apparent when they performed duets, like the following flashback from the Ralph Emery Show, filmed just a few months before they were married.

There may never be another couple in music as cool as these two. It might have taken a while for them to get together, but they truly couldn't live without each other. The couple stayed together until June's death in 2003. It's said that Johnny was unable to live without her, since he passed away only a few months later.

Enjoy this wonderful performance from one of the greatest couples in entertainment — performing "Jackson" on The Johnny Cash Show. Their love story is truly inspiring, and the energy and chemistry they brought to the state is unparalleled!
